Safety / Equipment

Tube, paddle, life-jacket, and safety briefing by our staff are included in this trip.

Wearing our life jacket is required by our insurer. Life jackets must be worn with all buckles and leg-loops fastened for the duration of the trip.

Paddles are important to follow the best current on our way downstream.

It is recommended that tubers stay in their tubes for the duration of this trip.

Route / Instructions

Following our trip instructions and our prescribed route is necessary for safety.

The route we travel is fun, easy, naturally flowing class 1-2 whitewater. Our route leaves Westboro Beach and stays close to shore (Ottawa/Ontario side), on average 50-150ft from shore.

Tubing trips include a safety briefing from our guide, and on-water monitoring of safety.

Severe Weather

This trip will delay trip times or cancel in the event of severe weather. Rain Checks will be issued in the event of trip cancellations.

Shuttle

A return shuttle will be available from our end point at 1 Onigam St back upriver to Westboro Beach Club (745 Kichi Zibi Mikan).

Alcohol / Drugs / Smoking

100% NO Alcohol, drugs or smoking are permitted on this trip. Ontario Provincial Police issue DUIs for anyone piloting any watercraft with open alcohol (including canoes/tubes/kayaks). Smoking risks burning, and therefore deflating and sinking inflatable watercraft.
